To rent a storage unit at Gizmo Storage, you’ll need to be 18 years of age or older and provide a valid state or government issued photo I.D. or Driver’s License, a valid mailing address and an emergency contact.

Climate Controlled storage units keep your items in a more moderate climate (temperatures between 55°F and 85°F) via a central heating and cooling system. To ensure climate control, these storage units are fully insulated and accessed from an interior hallway. Therefore, they are also more resistant to dust, pests, and humidity than standard non-climate controlled units.

Gizmo Storage takes great pride in protecting your belongings and provides state-of-the-art security measures. We feature electronic gates with restricted keypad access, 24 hour video surveillance, perimeter fencing and well-lit aisles.

Yes! We have thought of everything – including a light inside every storage unit. After dark, your unit’s interior light will illuminate when you enter. This means you can clearly see the contents of your unit – day or night – making it convenient to access your belongings 24 hours a day!

We offer 24 hour gate access, 365 days a year. You can access your belongings anytime at your convenience.

Yes. For optimum security, we require that all storage customers secure their units with a round disc-style lock. We will provide you a brand new, sealed disc lock at move in, however you are welcome to provide your own. We do not retain a copy of your key. In 2005, we began requiring all of our storage customers to use disc locks and, to date, not a single one has been broken into.

No. You have total control over whom you allow to access your unit. We do not have a key, nor can we access your unit.

No. Our lease agreement is month-to-month, with no long-term commitment. You can rent your storage unit as long as you need it.

We offer 5 easy ways to pay: 1. in-person, 2. online, 3. by phone, 4. by mail, or 5. our convenient drop-box. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, or money orders. We can help you set-up automatic payments as well, which charge your credit card or checking account each month. To pay online, simply click the “My Account” tab above.

Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We do not accept American Express at this time.

We sure do, and it’s free! You can sign up for autopay with our Property Manager at move-in or any time during your stay. Or simply log in to the “My Account” tab above and enroll online. We’ll automatically deduct your monthly charges from a credit card, debit card, or bank account. No bills, no checks to mail, and no late fees. If you don’t want your rent to be paid automatically, you can make a one-time monthly payment using our convenient online payment option.

All rent payments are due on the 1st of the month. However, we provide a 5-day grace period before charging a late fee of $5 on the 6th day of the month. If you don’t pay by the 15th, there is an additional $10 late fee assessed to your account. We also deactivate gate codes and overlock delinquent units on the 6th day of the month. To avoid the possibility of late fees and lockouts, we recommend customers sign up for our free autopay program, so payments are automatically received from a bank account or credit card each month.

You can contact your Gizmo Storage Property Manager during regular office hours. You will be required to verify your identity (driver’s license number and date of birth) before we will divulge your gate access code. We will not disclose a gate access code to anyone who is not listed as an “authorized access user” on your lease agreement.

The move-out process is easy as 1-2-3: 1. Empty your storage unit completely, 2. Remove your lock, and 3. Let us know you’re out. We’ll close out your account that day. As a courtesy, we ask that you give notice at least 10 days before your intended vacate date. We do not pro-rate your last month’s rent, so please be sure you are out before the end of the current month. Please note that if you fail to notify us of your move-out, your rent will continue to accrue.

Yes. You are required to carry insurance coverage on all property you store at Gizmo Storage. This is a standard practice in the self-storage industry and is sanctioned by state law. Our facility’s insurance policy covers only the grounds and buildings, not your property placed in storage. However, you may already have coverage under an existing homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy. It is a good idea to check with your insurance agent to verify that your goods are protected and provide us with a copy of your declarations page. For those without insurance coverage, affordable storage protection is available through the SafeStor tenant insurance program. It can be paid with your rent, and is available in various levels of coverage at all Gizmo Storage locations. Ask your Property Manager for more information.
